CAYDNET assists a physically disabled woman at Akyem Oda

Akyem Oda, June 19, GNA – The management of Child Aid and Youth Development Network (CAYDNET) an NGO, on Monday presented a cheque for four million cedis to Miss Sandra Oppong, a 28-year-old physically disabled woman at Akyem Oda.

The amount is to enable her purchase callipers and other inputs for soap making.

Mr Frank Kwame Busumtwi, Birim South District Chief Executive who presented the cheque on behalf of the NGO, commended the management in their efforts to assist the physically disabled in society to improve on their living standards.

He advised Miss Oppong to use the money for the intended purpose to encourage the NGO to extend the gesture to other physically disabled persons in society.

Miss Oppong thanked the NGO for the assistance and appealed to other organisations to emulate them to make life meaningful to physically disabled persons in society. The NGO had so far spent more than 30 million cedis towards rehabilitation of physically disabled persons in the district.
