Cattle destroy farms and pollute River Tano

New Krobo (B/A), May 27, GNA- Grazing cattle have continued to destroy farmlands, food crops and pollute River Tano, the only source of drinking water for the people, at New Krobo, near Techiman in Brong Ahafo.

Residents and farmers in the area have protested against the trend and have advised owners of the animals to stop their herdsmen from taking the cattle to graze in the area.

A resident of the area, Mr. Kwaku Yeboah, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some backyard gardens had also been destroyed by the cattle.

They asked the cattle owners to educate their herdsmen to control the animals so that they did not destroy people’s farms.
