Catholics Mark Corpus Christie In Bolga.

Bolgatanga, June 15, GNA – The Catholic Church in Bolgatanga thronged through the main streets amidst brass-band music to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi, an annual festival on the Catholic Calendar.

The procession of the congregation was so large that vehicular movement came to a standstill while worshippers danced and sang to project their faith on the streets.

Rev Father Moses Akebule, Parish Priest and Administrator of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, called on Catholics to eschew all tendencies that create crisis against love.

Father Akebule said Christians should live their faith practically by helping their fellow Christians in need and the poor in general just as Christ did during his life on earth.

He said peace could prevail undisturbed if Christians showed love to humanity and urged them to always consider and tolerate views of people of other faith, as they would wish others to do unto them. 15 June 04
