Catholic Youth supports Kumasi Central Prison

The Youth Wing of the Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kumasi, at the weekend donated assorted items to the Kumasi Central Prison, to be distributed to the inmates.

The items worth about GH¢1,000.00 included used clothing, a bag of rice, a quantity of gari, toiletries and sanitary pads.

Mr Onesimos Osei Barimah, leader of the youth, said the group would continue to support prisoners and the vulnerable.

The Reverend Father Daniel Appiah, the Parish Priest, asked the prisoners to have faith in God and trust in his abundant mercies.

He advised them to resist the temptation of going back to the evil deeds that led to their incarceration after restoration of their freedom.

Rev. Father Martin Padi, Chaplain of the Kumasi Central Prisons, asked the youth to be disciplined and law abiding.**
