Catholic priest donates to police

Koforidua, Aug 10, GNA – A Catholic priest who is the director of an HIV/AIDS care centre, the Rev Monsignor Bobby Benson, has appealed to the public to support state institutions especially the police to enable them perform well.

He said the police worked with inadequate logistics hence the need for the public especially the affluent to support them.

The Rev Benson Monsignor said this when he donated emulsion and oil paints for the painting of the Police Training School in Koforidua.

He said the appearance of the walls of the school touched him anytime he passed by and decided to offer the paints and join the officers in the school to do the painting to reduce cost.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Isaac Adatsi, the Commanding Officer of the training school, said in the past weeks the school had also received help from Aya Contractors and Antarctic, Koforidua based contractors, for the gravelling of the school compound.

He thanked the three donors for their donation and appealed to others to also assist.
