Catholic Church asks gov’t to stop frustrating Ghanaians

Very Rev. Fr. Louis Tuffuor, the Vicar General of the Kumasi Archdiocese of the Catholic Church has asked government to treat Ghanaians better.

He does not understand why there should be high taxes and huge electricity bills when government claims to be working in the interest of Ghanaians.

Speaking to Nana Yaw Kesse, sit-in host of PEACE FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, the Vicar General said government must implement policies which will make Ghanaians comfortable and not frustrated.

Speaking to the huge electricity bills Ghanaians are receiving, Very Rev. Fr. Louis Tuffuor said the President needs to direct institutions responsible to act swiftly.

“If there is a problem with the billing system, stop it . . . I don’t belong to any side . . . the fact is that if you are ruling a country you need to make sure the citizens are comfortable . . . the citizens must be safe,” he passionately said.
