Catholic Bishops End Congress

Sankore (B/A), June 27, – The Catholic Bishop of Sunyani, His Lordship James Kwadwo Owusu, has ended a three-day visit to Sankore St Peter’s Parish where he confirmed 200 Christians. Addressing the congregation, Bishop Owusu appealed to parents to lead lives worthy of emulation. This, he hoped, would curb the high rate of child delinquency in the country. Calling for a greater attention by parents towards the upbringing of the child, Bishop Owusu regretted that the absence of proper training and discipline at home has led to current indiscipline He urged the youth of the church to avoid drug abuse, drunkenness and other ruinous social vices. Bishop Owusu observed that money meant for the proper upkeep of families is often spent on litigations which often leave the litigants impoverished.
