Catechists call for peace committees in E.P. Church

Catechist Joseph Agboli, National President of the National Catechist and Evangelists Union of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has called for the formation of Peace Committees in all branches of the Church.

He said such committees would collaborate with civil society organizations to promote peace before, during and after this year’s elections.

He was speaking at the 23rd National Conference of the Association in Ho at the weekend.

The three day conference was on the theme, “Strategic evangelism for sustainable growth and development: The Catechists and Evangelists.”

Catechist Agboli said what the country needed most was the sustenance of the peace and appealed to all stakeholders to pray and work assiduously for peace.
