A saloon car accidentally toppled over the flyover at dimples junction, around former Construction Pioneers (CP) site near Dzorwulu in Accra on Sunday and in the process fell on another car using the road beneath the bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the car which fell off was coming from the Achimota School Police Station direction of the Achimota forest road, heading towards Dzorwulu and as the driver was negotiating the roundabout on the flyover, he lost control of the car and then toppled over.
Unconfirmed reports say an occupant of one of the cars died while others who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to the hospital.
The accident temporarily caused traffic on the otherwise busy road; however, the police were on hand to deal with the situation after which normalcy was restored.
