Sunyani, Aug. 11, GNA – A male student of Sunyani Polytechnic and two female traders died on the spot while 18 others were injured at the weekend when a Benz bus on which they were travelling collided with a cargo truck at Mangoase in the Techiman District of Brong Ahafo. The names of dead were not immediately available.
The truck was travelling from Sunyani to Yeji.
Dr Daniel Asare, District Medical Director of the Sunyani Government Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency on Monday that the accident happened late Sunday evening.
Dr Asare said the three corpses and the injured were brought to the hospital early Monday morning. Three of the injured whose conditions were critical are on admission while the 15 others were treated and discharged.
Meanwhile, a Police source, confirming the accident said two Policemen escorting the traders were among the injured. 11 Aug. 03
