Captain Cudjoe entreats pupils to take their academic work seriously

Captain Anthony Cudjoe (Rtd), Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis, on Tuesday entreated pupils to take their studies seriously in order to earn them a brighter future.

He encouraged them to have positive attitude towards live and be obedient to both their teachers and parents.

Captain Cudjoe said this when he visited some selected schools within the metropolis to welcome fresh nursery pupils to school under the “My First Day at School” concept of the Ghana Education Service.

The MCE was accompanied by Nana Kofi Mbeah, Metropolitan Director of Education and some officials of the metropolitan office of the Ghana Education Service at Takoradi.

Captain Cudjoe’s first point of call was the Boundary Road School at Sekondi where he interacted with some of the pupils and presented them with school uniforms, crayons and sweets.

Ms. Elizabeth Owusu, a five-year fresh Kindergarten pupil who could not hide her happiness to be in school, thanked her parents for giving her a future through education.

The MCE then visited the Saint John the Baptist Early Childhood Development Centre at Essaman, Rev. George Appekey Memorial Primary in Takoradi, and the Emmanuel Methodist Primary at New Takoradi.
