Cape Coast North MP-elect grateful to electorate

Member of Parliament (MP) elect for Cape Coast North, Mr Ebo Barton Odro, has commended the electorate for voting massively to retain him in parliament, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in power, in Election 2012.

Mr Odro said his victory showed the confidence the people had in him due to the numerous development projects he was able to execute in the past four years, and promised to work harder in the coming years.

He mentioned the execution of more than 100 projects dotted all over the constituency some of which, include a clinic for the aged at the Ministries Block in Cape Coast, a Science Resource Centre for Basic Schools , Community Library at Brofoyedur, Maternity clinic at Effutu, Market stalls at Effutu and a six unit classroom block at Nyinasen.

The MP-elect said these when he visited some of the electoral areas in the constituency, to thank the people for supporting him and the NDC to attain victory.

Mr Odro, who also Deputy Minister of Justices and Attorney General, said his victory would encourage him to work harder to bring more development to the area.

He was the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast constituency, but opted to contest for the Cape Coast North seat when the original constituency was divided into Cape Coast North and South constituencies.

Mr Odro said the victory of the NDC in both the parliamentary and presidential elections in the Central Region was in honour of the later President John Evans Atta Mills, whom he said had good development plans for the region.

He pledged to work with the MP-elect for Cape Coast South, Mr Ricketts Kweku Hagan, to move Cape Coast forward.

Mr Odro cautioned NDC supporters to celebrate the victory of the party moderately so as not to infuriate anyone.
