Cape Coast gets new MCE

The President’s nominee for the Chief Executive Officer for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Ernest Arthur has been giving an overwhelming endorsement by the assembly members after just a round of voting .

The 37-year-old businessman polled 60 out of the 61 members who voted Tuesday.
One vote was rejected making it a 99% of the total vote cast.

In his acceptance speech ,the new MCE pledged to use his office to address the challenges that confront the people in the area.

The problems he indicated include joblessness ,falling standard of education , poor sanitation among others while again creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

He therefore called on investors to choose the central as his office will do everything possible to help them succeeded in their business in the region.

He also pledged to operate an open door policy so as to embrace all in fostering the needed unity for development to take place in the area .
