Cape Coast floods kill 5

Five people have been killed in floods in the Central Regional capital, Cape Coast.

Three died after a building caved in on them as a result of the torrential rains which have been falling for the four days continuously.

One other person was electrocuted and another also succumbed to the floods.

Their bodies have been deposited at the morgue. The floods in Cape Coast come on the back of recent flooding in Accra following several hours of rains.

The Kwame Nkrumah Circle, where 150 people died last year in June as a result of flooding and a resultant gas station explosion, was, once again flooded. It was feared that a toddler got killed in the deluge.
