Cannabis prevent diseases – Rastafari Council

The Committee on Advocacy within the Rastafari Council of Ghana, says cannabis usage helps the human body fight against diseases and sicknesses.

This, according to the Council, can reduce the enormous pressure on hospitals and health centres across the country because people who use it will not contract illnesses.

The Chairman of the Committee, Khex Pongo, told Ekourba Gyasi, host of TOP FM’s morning show on Thursday that “I burn the herbs, in fact I smoke it and so I don’t get some sicknesses.”

When he was asked by Ekourba to repeat what he just said, he reiterated in pidgin English “you no de hear what I de talk, a say a de burn amm, a de smoke the wee.”

He is, therefore, calling for the decriminalization of the cultivation of Cannabis popularly known as “weed” in Ghana.
