Canadian Parliamentary delegation arrives in Ghana

Accra, Aug. 28, GNA – A nine-member Canadian parliamentary delegation led by Mr Bob Tilger, Deputy Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons, arrived in Ghana on Thursday.

The delegation, which is on a three-nation tour, would discuss with parliamentarians of Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria on the theme: “Parliamentary Democracy, The Canadian Experience.”

They would look at political parties, electioneering campaigns, financial control and budget processes and parliamentary privileges as well as internal administration of Parliament.

Mr Fredie Blay, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament met them at the airport. 28 Aug.03
