Canadian Delegation Visits Space Fm

The four member delegation from the Regional District of Nanaimo in Canada, visiting the Sunyani Municipality for a sister city relationship, has paid a courtesy call on the management and staff of Spacefm in Sunyani.

In an interview on Spacefm’s Morning Show, anchored by Kwaku Owusu Agyei , the Administrative Officer of the Federation of Community and Municipalities Programmes, Mr. Kelly Danielles, said Spacefm is their major source of news concerning Ghana and Africa as a whole.

He commended the radio station for being the source of information about Ghana through the internet in Canada.

Mr.Ransford Antwi later welcomed the delegation and promised that Space Fm would at all times offer its support to ensure that the relationship between Ghana and Canada is strengthened.Mr. Antwi also revealed that it is by devine intervention that the marriage of the Sunyani Municipality and Regional District of Nanaimo has coincided with the official launching of a partnership between Space Fm and Radio Canada International.

The Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Ignatius Baffour Awuah, who accompanied the delegation, told Space fm that the sister city relationship between Sunyani and the District of Nanaimo is part of the decentralization policies of the governments of Ghana and Canada.

He also congratulated Spacefm on her successful affiliation with Radio Canada to broadcast some of their programmes to the Ghanaian community.
