Accra, Dec. 9, GNA – The Canadian government on Thursday commended the Ghanaian authorities and citizens for a successful vote on Tuesday. A statement from the Canadian High Commission said “The elections – fair, orderly and transparent – were attributed to Ghana’s commitment to democracy and the right of all Ghanaians to freely choose their government.”
It said Canada was proud to have provided election observers and financial contributions to the electoral process.
“We look forward to continued close cooperation with Ghana and the Ghanaian people in their quest for democracy, progress and development.”
