Can God change with the weather?

By Akyena Brantuo Benjamin

God is not God because He supplies me all my needs.

I remain forever grateful for His gifts of Life, good health, great job, family etc

But should I be poor, the ancient of days remain the same. My afflictions, anxiety, pain, humiliation, childlessness, sickness , and marital crises will not change Him.

God is God of all seasons. Not a seasonal God. Was He not the God of Rich Job

and the poor Job?

He was the God of Daniel in King Darius’ Palace, so was He the God of Daniel in the Lions Den.

He remained the God of Shad rack, Meshack and Abednego in Nebuchadnezzar’s palace as well as their God in the fiery furnace.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

What can separate me from the love of God?

‘Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, in all these things I am more than a conqueror.’

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God.’

Ooh merciful God,

help me to see You as greater than my moments of abundance and my moments of Lack.

And may I trust in You with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways may I submit to You.

Amen
