Yaw Baah Amoateng, a founding member of the NPP in Ashanti Region and former executive member of the Asante Akyem Constituency, has advised the regional Ccairman of the party, to desist from fanning lies about the relations between Manhyia and the first family of Ghana and concentrate on securing votes for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to Jem FM about a news reportage on breakingnewsgh.com, Mr. Baah Amoateng cautioned chairman Wontumi not to allow his personal issues with Ibrahim Mahama lead him on to lie about an issue which is nonexistent.
It will be recalled that Wontumi, after a failed attempt to nail President Mahama of impregnating Otumfuo’s daughter, shifted focus to Ibrahim Mahama, a friend of Manhyia and brother to the President of Ghana.
Mr. Baah Amoateng denied any such story about Ohemaa being pregnant and said, “these comments from Wontumi does not only affect the persons mentioned but it is an embarrassment to Asanteman” and he fathoms why an Ashanti will engage in peddling of wicked rumors.
He advised the leadership of the NPP to call Wontumi and his surrogates to order as his actions could cost the party in the region.
