Calvary Methodist Church holds love feast for members

The Calvary Methodist Church in Accra as part of its Christmas celebration, organised a love feast on Christmas eve to show love and compassion to its congregants in Accra.

The annual event was meant for the congregants to bring food and drinks to be shared among themselves to exhibit the love Jesus showed to Christians while on earth.

The Very Revered Dr Kwesi Arthur-Mensah, Superintendent Minister in charge of the Accra North Circuit of the Church, told the GNA that Christmas is a time for people to exchange gifts and make merry.

“It’s also the opportunity to give to the needy and the poor in the church,” he said.

He noted that the congregation was thrilled to songs by the church choir and the junior choir.

The Very Rev Arthur-Mensah said preceding the elections people though there would be violence but now that the elections are peaceful and over they are happy.

He expressed the hope that Ghanaians would remain united more than before for national development and wished all a Merry Christmas.
