Call For Dr. Bawumia Arrest Is

Eastern regional communications team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the statement by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary, Asiedu Nketiah to arrest Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as pure pathological madness.

The NDC general secretary earlier this week called for the arrest of NPP’s running mate, Dr. Bawumia for

Speaking to Brytfmonline, the regional Communications Director of the opposition NPP, Mr. David Prah indicated the comments shows clearly that Asiedu Nketiah needs psychological treatment and that Ghanaians should see his actions as a mere propaganda to divert attention from the current economic hardship.

“We know he and the government is trying to divert our attention from the hardships Ghanaians are facing currently” he stated.

He appealed to chiefs, the clergy, pressure groups, social organisations as well as the general public to come on board to press the Electoral Commission(EC) for them to hear the cry of ghanaians.

Mr. Prah however called on the EC to re-consider their decision to provide a new voters’ register instead of insisting on cleaning the bloated one. He indicated that ghanaians would not forgive the EC if their decision has any effect on the upcoming general elections.

He therefore urged ghanaians to consider Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the NPP and vote massively for the party in order to win the November, 7 elections.
“I am calling on all ghanaians to vote for the NPP to help us put down strategised mechanisms for the development of the economy which has been polarised by the ruling incompetent NDC” he added.
