CAL Bank plant trees

The Accra Branch of CAL Bank, in collaboration with Accra Parks and Gardens Unit, at the weekend planted trees on the road isles from Ghana Standard Authority to Atomic Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

The five-hour exercise attracted about 600 workers of the bank, who planted a variety of trees including Royal Palm, Drum, While Star, Grey Willow and Pussy Willow.

Mr Philip Owiredu, Executive Director of CAL Bank in Accra, told Ghana News Agency in an interview that the exercise was part of the corporate responsibilities of the corporate entity.

He said the bank’s branches in Kumasi, Tarkwa and Takoradi embarked on similar exercise to re-vegetate road isles and to increase floral beauty.
