CAL Bank National Service holds Walk

Accra, Aug. 10, GNA – National Service Personnel at CAL Bank have presented medical items, electrical appliances and 2,000 Ghana Cedis to the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit and the Children’s Ward of the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

Mr Samuel Kwame Boafo, Director of Human Resource Division of the Bank who made the presentation on behalf of the Service Personnel said the amount was raised from this year’s CAL Bank National Service Personnel Fund-raising Walk which was held on Sunday.

The participants who went on the two-hour Walk, started from the Tetteh Quarshie Circle through the Ako Adjei Circle and ended at the premises of the Ridge Hospital.

Mr Boafo said it was the policy of the Bank to support communities in which it operates and promised that it would continue to offer the necessary support to the health sector.

The Director appealed to other corporate bodies and institutions to contribute meaningfully to the development of the health sector. Dr Nana Sereboe, Paediatrician at the Ridge Hospital thanked the Service Personnel for their kind gesture and also called on other corporate bodies to contribute to the hospital’s development. 10 August 08
