Cadre forum to herald june 4 anniversary

The anniversary planning committee of the June 4 uprising, announces that a cadre forum will be held on Monday June 3 to herald activities marking the 34th anniversary.

Leader of the uprising, Flt Jerry John Rawlings will address cadres drawn from all the regions at his office from 2pm.

This year¹s anniversary is being celebrated under the theme, ³ Patriotism, Key to Nation Building².

On Tuesday June 4 there will be the traditional cadres route march and wreath laying ceremony. The route march will start from the Elwak Stadium through the Cantonments Communications Centre to the Revolution Square at the forecourts of the Flagstaff House.

A short parade and wreath laying ceremony as well as the lighting of the perpetual flame will then climax the commemoration at 8.30am.
