A 45-year old businessman, Alhaji Musah Abubakar, alias “Muntum”, has announced his decision to put himself up for election as constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asawase, Kumasi.

He said he would bring more vibrancy and unity to the party to help it hold on to the parliamentary seat in 2016.

Alhaji Abubakar told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that he is popular among the grassroots supporters of the party in the area, and was confident about his chances.

He underlined his resolve to work hard to make the party attractive to voters and invited his other contestants to ensure a clean contest, free from insults and insinuations.
