Businessman granted 15 million cedis bail for fraud

Cape Coast, May 17, GNA – A 41-year-old businessman was on Tuesday granted 15 million cedis’ bail by a circuit court at Cape Coast for defrauding one Madam Rubena Amartefio of 7.8 million cedis Kwesi Amonoo pleaded not guilty and would reappear on Monday June 6. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Azasoo told the court that Madam Amartefio, a beer distributor, gave 7.8 million cedis to Amonoo to register two plots of land on her behalf. Amonoo failed to register the plots and went into hiding until Madam Amartefio spotted him on May 3 and caused his arrest. 17 May 05
