Bushfire burns four vehicles

Bush fire on Sunday dawn ravaged a fitting shop near the Volta Barracks in Ho.

An articulated truck and a tipper truck were burnt while two other vehicles had their tyres and other essential parts damaged.

The fire also razed down an electrical shop destroying spare parts valued at GH? 30,000.

Shaibu Abdulai, Owner of the fitting shop, Shaibusco Autos, said he had a call at 0300 hours that fire had gutted his shop but before he reached there, firemen had put it out.

Nana Frititi II, Ho Municipal Fire Commander told Ghana News Agency that, but for the timely arrival of firemen, the whole shop could be in flames.

He said his outfit is investigating the cause of the fire but suspected bushfire.

Nana Frititi lamented the spate of fire outbreaks in the municipality and appealed to chiefs and opinion leaders to help sensitise the public on fires.
