Burial of late Ga Mantse may spark controversy

The burial of the late Ga Mantse; Nii Tackie Tawiah III might spark some confusion in the Ga State as a faction of the Ga State maintains the Ga Mantse is still alive and not dead.

According to them, the other claimant to the Ga Stool; Bone Nii Tackie Adama Latse II is the legitimate Ga Mantse.

The late Ga Mantse known in private life as Dr Joe Blankson passed away in London late last year.

Arrangements for his burial are yet to be made public but even before that, the faction, headed by the Dzaasetse of the Ga Paramount Stool Nii Yaotey Oto-Ga II says they will not allow the late Dr Joe Blankson to be given a royal burial since he was not a royal.
