Building contractors elects new President

The Association of Building and Civil Contractors of Ghana, has elected Mr Martins Nnuro as its new President.

He polled 23 votes to beat his closest challenger and former President, Mr Edward Amanor who had 19 votes whiles the third candidate Mr Eric Tsa pulled 8 votes.

The election was held at the annual general meeting of the Association in Takoradi in the Western Region on Friday. Mr Nnuro until his election was the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Association.

He pledged to work to address issues working against the building construction industry.

The meeting was also used to launch the website of the Association as well as a new logo.

Mr Rockson Dogbegah, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Association said the launch of the website is part of the new face of the Association.**
