Budget concrete enough, all Akufo-Addo’s pledges will be fulfilled – Anthony Karbo

Member of Parliament for the Lawra constituency, Anthony Karbo says the structuring of the 2017 budget will enhance the realization of all promises made by the party during its campaign.

According to him, the budget captures major policies and strategies that will ensure that every promise the government committed to fulfilling is kept to accordingly.

He stated that focus on tax reduction which is a primary concern for government will facilitate business expansions and job creation, this he said will lead to corporate and income tax benefits.

“the thrust of this budget will address the issue of production. We have said that our economic policy is grounded on a shift away from taxation to production. If we reduce taxes, businesses will get enough money to expand in their business and also employ more people and we can benefit from corporate taxes, income taxes and job creation along the line” he stated.

Mr. Karbo expressed confidence in the viability and sustainability of these promises with the budget in place. He maintained that despite its capital intensive nature, the pledges when fulfilled will affect millions of lives.

He also said the budget has allocated the needed resources to revamp the agriculture sector through the initiation of the one-district-one-factory policy which is important for achieving food security, all year round farming, boosting job creation and reversing rural-urban migration.
