Bryan Acheampong brokers deal in Savelugu; MCE begins work

Member of Parliament for Abetifi and Minister of State at the Presidency, Bryan Acheampong has succeeded in brokering a deal with some disgruntled members of the New Patriotic Party in Savelugu to allow the MCE, Hon. Hajia Ayishetu Seidu to work.

In a statement signed by Abubakur Sadiq Sulemana, the members have backed down on their demand for the removal of the MCE and are now in full support of the President’s nominee.

They apologised to the President for the protest and assured him of their unwavering support.

It will be recalled that The Savelugu-Nantong Municipal Chief Executive, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu was under siege since her confirmation.

Her challengers had vowed to resist any attempt to allow her work in the office and further served notice that any forceful imposition will be fiercely resisted.
