British Warship To Visit Tema

Accra, (Greater Accra) 30 Oct.,

The HMS Monmouth, one of the Royal Navy’s modern Type 23 frigates, arrives in Tema on November seven for a week-long informal visit. A British High Commission statement in Accra said today the ship has 186 officers and ratings and is under Commander Malcolm Sillars. She would be accompanied by the Royal Fleet Auxilliary Orangeleaf, a support tanker with 56 civilian officers and ratings. The ship is the seventh warship to bear the name HMS Monmouth.
