British School of Brussels and others assist Mampong Babies Home

Mampong (Ash), Jan.11, GNA – The Staff of British School in Brussels and other philanthropists in Belgium on Sunday donated items worth over 5,000 euros to the Asante Mampong Babies’ Home in the Mampong Municipality.

The items include a 34-inch flat screen television set, a 21-inch Hitachi television set, video cassettes, a 36-inch deep freezer, chairs, bicycles, toys and second hand clothing. Madam Grace Donkor, a citizen of Mampong based in Brussels, who presented the items on behalf of the donors, expressed the hope that the items would go a long way to support the welfare and development of the children.

Madam Mabel Asafu-Adjaye, Superintendent of the Home thanked the donors for the love and concern shown the children and said they would take good care of the items and put them at the disposal of the children.

Present at the ceremony were the Rt. Reverend Daniel Yinkah-Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi and Chairman of the Management Board of the Home, Rev. Canon Francis Dwira, Acting Archdeacon of the Mampong Archdeaconry, Rev. Father David Korankye, Parish Priest of the Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Mampong, staff and some children of the Home. 11 Jan. 09
