British High Commission British Visa section to close

Accra, April 26, GNA – The British High Commission announced on Thursday that its Visa Application Centre at Labone in Accra would be closed on Monday 30 April in order to carry out necessary building and technical works.

A statement from the High Commission in Accra said the Visa Application Centre would also be closed from May 18 to 23 for the same reason.

“We regret to announce that anyone wishing to apply to travel to or transit the United Kingdom will not be able to submit their applications during this time,” the statement said.

“We advise all applicants who qualify for the ‘Fast-Track’ facility to submit their applications by May 16 in order for these to be processed before the temporary closure.

The High Commission said all “non-fast-track” applicants who submit applications prior to 18 May would be able to collect their decision from the High Commission Visa Section on an agreed date.
