British Council outdoors UK education opportunities

British Council on Thursday launched its second Education UK Exhibition for persons looking forward to study in the United Kingdom (UK) to have a one-on-one chat with representatives from the country’s schools.

The two-day fair which was the second of its kind, would give an opportunity to students, workers and the public to learn about the processes involve in acquiring visa, find out scholarship opportunities and get answers to questions from more than 30 UK Schools’ delegates on how to study and live in the country.

Mrs Rhoda Enchil, Project Manager for British Council said the purpose of the exhibition was to relax students in terms of how to apply for schools.

She said: “The fair will also give an opportunity for good students to access the various scholarship schemes the organisation gives that they are not aware of.”

The exhibition would provide a platform where UK universities and colleges could showcase the excellence of UK education and the range of study and training opportunities available for Ghanaian students, employers and employees.

The universities would within the two days interact with students, parents, training managers, employers, employees and the public.

Visitors to the exhibition would receive information on how study and training in the UK could help them be the best they could be, by providing them with world-class qualifications for a competitive advantage in their career with improved earnings.

Mrs Enchil said the Council, Ghana remains committed to promote quality education and unveiling opportunities for studying in the UK.

Over the years, British Council has contributed to the growth of Ghanaian students in the UK and continued to work hard to secure long-term sustainability through management of Education UK and UK Alumni Programmes in Ghana.

The Education UK Ghana exhibition is a British Council initiative primarily targeted at students and young professionals seeking study and training opportunities abroad.

The Council creates international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and builds trust between them worldwide.
