Breman Asikuma office makes strides

The Office of the Administrator of stool Lands, Asikuma branch, has so far established 32 banking accounts for the communities involved.

In addition, the office has been able to settle 17 land disputes and litigations within and outside the district since its inception in 2009.

The Regional Liaison Officer of the Administration, Mr Samson K. Acquah, told the GNA that his administration had been organising seminars to educate traditional rulers in the district on the objectives and operations of his department.

Mr Acquah said he was hopeful that with support and the cooperation of the assembly, traditional rulers and the police, more revenue could be generated internally from stool lands.

He said his administration played a major role in supporting Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa (AOB) District assembly to carryout renovation and rehabilitation works on the District Police Headquarters.

Mr Acquah called on the citizenry to patronize their offices at Cape Coast, Twifo Praso, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Assin Foso, Agona Swedru, Awutu-Senya and Kasoa to relieve the courts of loads of land dispute cases.**
