BREAKING NEWS: Alan K quits NPP

Alan Kwadjo Kyeremanteng, the man who came second to Nana Akuffo Addo in the race for the NPP flagbearership, has reportedly resigned from the ruling party.

Mr. Kyeremanteng is said to have submitted his resignation letter to the party’s headquarters today.

In the race for the NPP flagbearership, Kyeremanteng’s gracious concession prevented a second round of voting at delegates’ congress which elected Nana Akuffo Addo as the party’s candidate for the December presidential elections.

It is not yet clear why he has quit the party but there are rumours that he might contest the December polls either as an independent or as the candidate of the Reformed Patriotic Democrats, a party made up of some people who recently broke away from the ruling party.
