Brazilian President departs

Accra, April 13, GNA – Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva left Accra on Wednesday for Guinea-Bissau on the next stage of his African tour after a two-day State visit.

At the Airport to see him off were President John Agyekum Kufuor, Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, some Ministers of State, Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Mr Ibrahim Omar and some members of the Diplomatic Corps.

The two countries earlier signed a communiqu=E9, which covers economic, political, social, cultural relations as well as global issues.

A 35-member delegation including his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Health, Education, Culture and Promotion of Racial Equity as well as top Business Executives accompanied him.

Before departure, he inspected a guard of honour mounted by a contingent from the Fifth Battalion of Infantry under the command 0f the Major Charles Adu-Bimpong made up of 98 men and three officers.
