Brazen Land Snatching In Koforidua

PREZ MAHAMA’S NAME POPS UP

As Pal Boasts His Influence in Presidency

A businessman who claims to be the President’s ally is alleged to be claiming lands from their owners following using his influence at the Presidency.

In the latest obnoxious display of his influence-peddling, Nanan Adjei, as he is popularly known in Koforidua, is shamelessly claiming ownership of a piece of land at Galloway, near the Eastern Regional headquarters of the Ghana Police Service, from its rightful owner.

Nanan Adjei, in his naked arm- twisting to claim the land, has through his political connections stopped the Regional office of the Lands Commission from processing the documentation on the piece of land, by one Mr. Padmore Okyere, another businessman residing in the Municipality, who has fully paid for the land, and has the Indenture duly signed by the original owner.

Interestingly, Nanan Adjei, perhaps realizing how scandalous an exposure of his nefarious claims to the land can be, has allegedly mounted a sign post on the land, stating that it belongs to the National Communication Authority (NCA), when in fact, the NCA has no legal claims to the land.

This newspaper has gathered that Nanan Adjei has boasted about how easy it will be for him to take the land, claiming that he had once through his connection with the President’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama, snatched a piece of land from Mr. Ofosu Ampofo when the latter was the Regional Minister, so he foresees no difficulty this time too in taking the land from Mr. Padmore.

We are serializing this story to bring to the attention of the President the unscrupulous activities of his greedy and bad friends who are tarnishing his image and that of his government, and the need to bring them to order.
