Coventry City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has been nominated for the EFL Championship Player of the Month after a blistering run of form in October.
The Ghanaian striker has been in sensational scoring touch, netting seven goals and providing one assist across six matches in October, a performance that has propelled Coventry’s climb up the league table.
Thomas-Asante opened the month with an assist against Millwall, before firing braces against both Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth. He also found the back of the net against Blackburn and Watford, underlining his consistency and lethal presence in front of goal.
His only quiet outing came in the goalless draw against Wrexham, but by then, the 25-year-old had already done enough to catch the eyes of the league’s awards panel.
Thomas-Asante’s nomination caps a remarkable spell for the in-form forward, who has quickly become one of the Championship’s most feared attackers this season.
If he wins, it would mark his first individual award since joining Coventry City, a fitting reward for a player whose sharp finishing and relentless energy have been central to the club’s resurgence.
