Brako elected NPP Assin North constituency chairman

Assin Foso (C/R), Oct. 19, GNA – Mr Nicholas Kofi Brako was on Tuesday elected chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Assin North Constituency in the Central Region. He polled 69 out the 80 votes cast, during the elections to climax the constituency delegate’s conference held at Assin Foso. Other officers elected were first vice-chairman, John Bosompem, Elvis Adjei, second vice-chairman, Mr Isaac Aidoo, secretary and Mr Bonney Clarke, assistant secretary.

The rest were Mr Samuel Wood, treasurer, Mr Kojo Takyi, youth organiser, Mr Jacob Sackey, organiser and Ms Marian Appiagyei, women’s organiser.

In an address, Alhaji Mohammed Gibrine, Central Regional Organiser of the Party commended the delegates for conducting the elections in a peaceful manner and hoped they would continue to co-operate with the executives to retain the seat in the 2008 general elections.
