Boycott Ghana@50 Celebration – Kofi Wayo

Kofi Wayo, founder of the United Renaissance Party (URP), has called on Ghanaians to boycott the 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations being organized by the NPP government because it has failed miserably Ghanaians and pushed them down the throes of poverty.

Making the call last Friday morning on an Accra-based radio station, Mr. Wayo said the NPP government has failed to even guarantee Ghanaians clean potable water which is a basic necessity of life.

He asked Ghanaians to stay away from the celebration to show their disapproval at the way the Kufuor government was messing up the country.

Mr. Wayo said all that functionaries of the Kufuor government were interested in is acquiring property for themselves at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian.

He said in some parts of the country, the people were living like animals because of the poverty inflicted on them by the Kufuor government.
