Dormaa-Ahenkro, Jan. 5, GNA – Leticia Gyabaa, a 17-year-old pupil of the Berekum All for Christ Preparatory Junior Secondary School, died at the Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa Ahenkro following beatings she received from her boy friend, Kofo Ansu, 24.
She collapsed and was taken to the hospital on December 17, but died on arrival, Superintendent Charles Samuel Moses Brew, Dormaa District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency.
The Police Commander said a post mortem examination at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi revealed that the deceased died of ”cerebral edema from traumatic shock due to assault.”
He said the police had mounted a search for Ansu who is on the run.
