Bouquet for President Rawlings

The staff of the Embassy of Japan in Accra yesterday presented a bouquet to President Jerry John Rawlings at the Embassy in Accra on the behalf of the staff by Ms Sachiko Nishioka.

President Rawlings signed a book of condolence in memory of the late Empress Nagako of Japan at the Embassy in Accra.

Empress Nagako, mother of Emperor Akihito, died at the age of 97 at the Imperial Palace on June 15. Empress Nagako lives as the longest Empress in the Japanese Imperial history.

President Rawlings expressed his heartfelt condolence and that of the Government and the People of Ghana to the Emperor, the Government and the people of Japan.
