Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District Assembly confirms DCE

Kokoado (Ash.), July 13, GNA – The Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District Assembly on Tuesday endorsed Mr Bright Addai-Munumkum as District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area. He received 61 out of the 68 votes cast, representing 89.7 percent.

Mr Samuel Yorke-Aidoo, Ashanti Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), supervised the election that was witnessed by the Regional Minister, Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo and his Deputy, Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Dr Matthew Antwi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Kwanwoma and Mr Simon Osei Mensah, MP for Bosomtwe.

Addressing the assembly after the vote, Mr Boafo told them to let the development of the District be their primary focus and avoid partisan attitudes. “You should work together as a team for the common goal of bringing progress to the people,” he added. Mr Addai-Munumkum thanked the Assembly members for the confidence and trust and promised he would never give them cause to regret giving him the nod.
