Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma bags 272 million cedis towards NHIS

Kuntanase (Ash), May 26, GNA – The Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District office of the Mutual Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) has bagged 272 million cedis as premium towards the scheme. In addition, a total number of 46,000 people have been registered for the scheme.

Mr Osei Bonsu, District Manager of the scheme, said this at the inauguration of the Board of Directors of the scheme at Kuntanase on Tuesday.

He said 13,000 of the registered people have taken their photographs for processing of identity cards.

The 13-member board include representatives each from the district directorate of health services, private facility health providers, the Department of Social Welfare and the district assembly. Others are two representatives each from religious groups, women groups, management and legal experts and the chiefs.
