Boris Johnson arrives in Ghana

Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson has arrived in Ghana to meet President Nana Akufo-Addo for bilateral talks.

Mr. Johnson touched down at the Kotoka International Airport after midday on Wednesday February 15 from The Gambia, where he had met with President Adama Barrow.

He was met at the airport by the British High Commissioner Jon Benjamin and some government officials.

Ghana is the UK’s fourth largest export market in sub-Saharan Africa, with a total of £1 billion.

The Foreign Secretary is expected to visit the fruit processing company Blue Skies, meet business leaders and young entrepreneurs supported by the Department for International Development’s ENGINE project.
