Book On Transport Guide Launched In Accra

A booklet entitled “The Simple Transport Guide” for the Accra-Tema area has been launched in Accra. It is intended to serve as a reference document that will facilitate easy movement of both local and foreign visitors to Accra and Tema. The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr.. Joshua Alabi, described the launching of the booklet as another breakthrough in the development history of Ghana. He said the 58 – page booklet written in English and French is in line with Government’s aspiration to help foreign visitors to the city and also draw the neighbouring French is in line with Government’s aspiration to help foreign visitors to the city and also draw the neighbouring French-speaking countries closer to bring about meaningful development. Mr.. Alabi emphasized that the time has come for practical actions even from the grass root level for rapid growth and a better understanding of the sub-region. The author of the booklet, Major George Tagoe, said the booklet seeks to reduce cost of daily transport, save time for increased productivity, and help J.S.S. students to learn English and French. The Regional Chairman of the GPRTU, Alhaji E.A. Tetteh, called on the publishers to market the booklet throughout the country to ensure that visitors to the cities get first-hand information before they set out.
