Book on sex education launched in Accra

Accra, Feb.14 GNA – Pastor Babatope of the Charismatic Renewal Ministries Incorporated, has called on the youth to refrain from pre-marital sex and viewing of pornographic materials, which tend to compromise their moral upbringing. He was speaking at the launch of a b ook entitled: “33 Reasons You Must Say No To Sex Before Marriage”, in Accra at the weekend. The 55-page book authored by Victor Olukoju, the Executive Director of War Against Immorality Talk, a Non-Governmental Organisation, is aimed at teaching the youth about sexual purity and empower them for a promising future.

Pastor Babatope urged the youth to adhere to the counsel of their parents to attract eternal blessings.

In reviewing the book, Mrs.Florence Agyapong, Proprietress of Alpha Beta School condemned adverts that promotes the use of condom, explaining that it encourages sexual promiscuity among the youth and down played cultural and Christian values.

She said it was the responsibility of parents to give sex education to their children to prevent them from the effects of pre-marital sex such as HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancy.
